Mazumdar Shaw Medical Foundation (MSMF) is a leading research-driven institution
dedicated to advancing translational science and precision healthcare. The selected candidate will be embedded within the Research Group and work closely with teams at the Mazumdar Shaw Center for Translational Research (MSCTR), Technology Business Incubator (TBI), Advanced Diagnostic Research Center (ADRC), and Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Outreach Program (MSCOP), in collaboration with Narayana Institute of Neuroscience (NIN) and NH clinical teams.
Position Overview
The Project Associate will support ongoing translational initiatives, bridging laboratory
research with patient-centric studies. The role requires hands-on wet lab experience, clinical research acumen, and an interest in computational analysis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Wet Lab & Cell Culture Operations
• Execute and maintain standard cell culture workflows
• Conduct xperiments
• Process biological samples with strict quality-control adherence
2. Patient-Based Research (GCP E6 R3 Compliant)
• Identify, screen, and enroll study participants
• Collect demographic and clinical data, including biosamples
• Conduct data entry, deidentification, and regulatory documentation
3. Research Governance & Documentation
• Assist with feasibility assessments for new studies
• Maintain comprehensive laboratory and clinical research records
• Support audits, data tracking, compliance, and biosafety documentation
4. Project Management Support
• Coordinate laboratory experiments and clinical assessments
• Manage lab equipment, consumables, and timelines
• Assist in grant writing, SOP preparation, quarterly reports, and manuscript drafting
5. Computational & Bioinformatic Analysis (Preferred)
• Analyze wet lab results and secondary datasets
• Assist with multi-omics data interpretation and visualization
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Cell/Molecular Biology, or Life Sciences, Translational
Medicine
• Ability to work full-time, on-site at MSMF, Bengaluru
Desirable Skills
• Programming experience in Python, R, and basics of machine learning
• Specialized degrees (MSc/MTech/MPhil) preferred
• Medical graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
Experience Advantage
• Hands-on experience with cell culture and wet lab operations
• Exposure to patient-integrated research workflows
• Understanding of translational research methodologies
• Familiarity with multi-omics databases and analysis pipelines
