Role Summary
Srivari Spices and Foods Limited is seeking an experienced Food Analyst to support Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions in its edible oil manufacturing operations. The role involves chemical, physical, and microbiological analysis of edible oils while ensuring compliance with FSSAI and other regulatory quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform chemical, physical, and microbiological analysis of edible oils, including groundnut oil
· Conduct quality testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
· Ensure compliance with FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, GMP, and internal quality standards
· Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments such as GC, HPLC, spectrophotometer, moisture analyzer, etc.
· Monitor oil quality parameters including FFA, Peroxide Value (PV), Iodine Value (IV), Saponification Value (SV), moisture, density, and adulteration tests
· Prepare, review, and maintain accurate test reports and laboratory documentation
· Validate, verify, and implement new analytical testing methods as required
· Support internal and external quality audits, plant hygiene checks, and inspections
· Coordinate with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
· Ensure safe handling of laboratory chemicals and maintain laboratory cleanliness and safety compliance
Qualifications & Experience
· Education: B.Sc / M.Sc in Food Technology, Chemistry, or Microbiology
· Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Food Analyst or QC Chemist in the food or edible oil industry
· Strong working knowledge of edible oil testing parameters and FSSAI regulations
· Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and analytical techniques
Required Skills
· Chemical and microbiological testing expertise
· In-depth knowledge of edible oil quality parameters
· Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
· Laboratory equipment handling and calibration
· Accurate documentation and report preparation
· Knowledge of HACCP and GMP standards (preferred)
