Location: Vapi, Gujarat

Salary Range: ₹6–8 LPA (Based on PhD or relevant experience)
Overview
Micro CRISPR is seeking a detail-oriented IPR Specialist / Patent Analyst with a strong background in biotechnology (preferred) or pharmaceuticals. The role involves performing comprehensive IP searches, managing patent portfolios, and generating actionable insights to support R&D and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct Patentability, FTO, Invalidity/Validity searches and technology landscape analyses.
• Prepare competitive intelligence reports, whitespace analyses, and patent watch updates.
• Manage the patent portfolio, including filing, prosecution, and coordination with external IP attorneys/partners.
• Support R&D teams through IP training, prior-art searches, and product-specific patent mapping.
• Perform market research and non-patent literature reviews to guide new product development.
Required Skills
• Hands-on experience with patent databases such as Orbit, PatSeer, PatBase, and TotalPatent One.
• Strong understanding of patent law, search strategies, and the IP lifecycle.
• Experience in patent prosecution and coordinating filings.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise analytical reports for R&D and leadership teams.
Qualifications
• B.Tech / M.Tech / M.Sc / PhD in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related fields.
• Registered Indian Patent Agent certification (preferred).
• Prior experience in a Biotech (preferred) or Pharma organization.
