Senior Research Fellow (SRF) – 01 Position
Job Overview:
This research job under the PHGG-based composite flour project includes product development, nutritional analysis, glycaemic evaluation, animal studies, and scientific documentation. The role offers a one-year appointment with possible extension.
- Job Title: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- Designation: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- Project Title: Evaluation of Partially Hydrolysed Guar Gum (PHGG)-Based Composite Flour on Glycaemic and Metabolic Health: In Vitro, Ex Vivo, and In Vivo Investigations in Dyslipidemic Diabetic Rodent Models
- Duration: One (01) year (Extension based on performance)
- Emoluments per Month: 42,000+10 % HRA or co-terminus with the project whichever is earlier
- Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (relaxation of 5 years for women/SC/ST/OBC/differently abled as per the Govt. of India Rules).
Education Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in food technology, food science and nutrition, food and nutrition, public health, and other allied sciences.
Desirable Qualifications:
- PhD in related discipline with publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Laboratory animal handling and in vivo/ex vivo experimental experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant project experience
- Proficiency in MS Office & statistical analysis tools
- Good communication skills (Hindi & English)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop composite flours and food prototypes with PHGG; perform nutritional and physicochemical analyses
- Conduct FTIR, DSC, GPC, solubility, viscosity, fiber, and prebiotic tests
- Perform texture analysis, sensory evaluation, and shelf-life monitoring
- Carry out enzyme inhibition, glycaemic index assays, and cell culture studies
- Manage in vivo animal studies and monitor metabolic parameters
- Maintain experiment records, prepare reports, and contribute to publications
Skills Required:
- Laboratory experience in food science and nutrition research
- Experience handling in vivo/ex vivo models
- Proficiency in MS Office and statistical analysis tools
- Strong scientific communication skills
- Ability to work in a research-oriented team
