- Essential Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science and Nutrition, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in food testing and Quality Assurance/manufacturing.
- Compliance: Experience working in a NABL-accredited laboratory.
- Quality Systems: Familiarity with quality assurance/quality control systems, ISO:17025:2017, ISO:9001:2018.
- Audits: Experience in external food safety or quality audits.
Roles and Responsibilities
The incumbent will be key to implementing FSSAI quality standards for the fortification project:
- QA/QC Implementation: Support implementation of QA/QC systems for fortified rice as per FSSAI guidelines.
- Training & Assessment: Provide hands-on training to rice millers, FRK manufacturers, premix suppliers, and food testing labs on quality standards. Conduct technical assessments of rice mills and suggest technical modifications.
- Documentation & Digitalization: Develop technical SOPs/WI/format for certification of premix and FRK manufacturers. Assist in development and deployment of digital QA/QO platforms.
- Communication: Conduct technical sessions, workshops, and presentations; strong communication skills in English and Hindi preferred.
