Food Technologist Job – Key Responsibilities
The Food Technologist ensures product quality and compliance from raw material intake through to the final manufacturing process.
- Quality Control & Testing: Perform laboratory tests for incoming raw material and packaging material. Monitor quality control measures.
- Sensory Evaluation: Responsible for conducting sensory evaluations to assess taste, texture, and overall quality of food products.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure high-quality standards in all manufacturing processes. Document each of the evaluations in compliance with BRC norms.
- Optimization & R&D: Optimize product delivery to meet customer and company requirements. Ability to contribute effectively to Research and Development (R&D) for product innovation and improvement.
Qualifications and Skills Required For Food Technologist Job
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
- Preferred Experience: Previous experience in the food manufacturing or bakery sector is highly desirable.
Essential Skills
- BRC Expertise: Expert level expertise in BRC compliant documentation for each of the laboratory and sensory tests conducted.
- Technical: Strong knowledge and hands-on expertise in Food Technology and Laboratory Skills.
- Mandatory Soft Skills: Basic knowledge of food safety and quality, willingness to learn and grow, good communication and teamwork skills, and strong attention to detail.
Food Technologist Job – Additional Details
Job Timings: 8 hours minimum
Salary Band: ₹ 18,000 to ₹ 25,000 (negotiable based on experience/skills)
