Educational Qualification
M.Sc. (Biotechnology) / M.Tech (Nanotechnology or Biotechnology).
Desirable Qualification
Qualification in a national-level competitive examination such as CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or equivalent (not mandatory).
Experience (Desirable)
Candidates with prior experience in formulation research, biotechnology research, nanoparticle synthesis and surface modification, or bioconjugation techniques will be given preference.
Academic Record
Consistent academic performance with a minimum of 75% aggregate in all qualifying examinations.
Fellowship
Rs. 31,000 /month (consolidated)
Duration
The fellowship is tenable for two years, subject to satisfactory performance. The performance of the selected candidate will be reviewed after the first six months, and continuation of the fellowship will be based on satisfactory progress.
Other Requirements
The candidate should be highly motivated, committed, and interested in working at the interface of basic sciences and applied research, with willingness to learn new techniques.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive literature surveys relevant to the project.
- Design, plan, and execute experiments under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
- Provide scientific and technical support in ongoing research activities.
- Maintain laboratory records, inventory, and consumables.
Scope of Experimental Work
- Preparation, surface modification, and characterization of nanoparticles.
- Bioconjugate synthesis and analysis.
- Drug release studies.
- In vitro characterization of nanoparticle formulations.
- In vitro toxicity studies.
- Handling of bacterial cultures in BSL-2 facilities.
- Sample preparation for TEM/SEM/AFM analysis.
- Recording and analysis of UV–Vis and fluorescence spectra.
