Job Detail:
The Senior Executive – Quality & Blending at Diageo’s Goa unit is a full-time role for professionals with 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality systems within the food processing, FMCG, distillery, brewery, or beverage industry. The role involves managing quality control of raw materials, intermediate blends, and finished goods; handling quality improvement projects; developing SOPs; calibrating and maintaining lab equipment; analyzing non-conformities; and assisting in CAPA implementation.
Educational Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree (preferably Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, food technology, or DIFAT)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage quality systems and develop SOPs for QC operations
- Analyze raw materials, blends, and finished goods; report findings to the unit head
- Inspect packaging materials and communicate non-conformities to vendors
- Perform online QC and line start-up/changeovers
- Calibrate and maintain lab equipment according to supplier recommendations
- Handle customer complaints, standardize reagents, and support CAPA implementation
- Assist in MIS reporting and quality improvement projects
- Apply blending skills and organoleptic sensory analysis
- Work on SAP and data analytics for QC operations
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of quality management systems and QC fundamentals
- Hands-on experience in food/beverage QC and blending processes
- Strong data analysis and IT skills (SAP, MS Office)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with biotechnology and life science processes in manufacturing
