Job Details:
This is a project-based temporary technical assistant job under a DST-CSRI-funded research project with a duration of one year. The engagement is initially for three months and may be extended based on performance and fund availability.
- Title of the Project: Screening of neurochemical, amyloid precursor protein (APP) and mitochondrial Calcium Uniporter (MCU) in Down’s Syndrome associated with Alzheimer’s disease—a potential therapeutic strategy
- Funding Agency: DST-CSRI, New Delhi
- Project Duration: One (1) Year
- Monthly Emoluments: ₹ 20,000/- + 9 HRA
Essential Qualification:
- An M.Sc./integrated 5-course degree in life sciences (Zoology/Biomedical Sciences/Human Genetics and Molecular Biology) with at least 55% marks will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic cell culture techniques
- Conduct molecular biology experiments (DNA & RNA isolation, RT-PCR, ELISA)
- Assist in blood sample collection
- Support research on neurological disorders and Alzheimer’s disease
- Maintain laboratory records and documentation
Skills Required:
- Hands-on experience in cell culture and molecular techniques
- Knowledge of RT-PCR, ELISA, DNA/RNA isolation
- Familiarity with English and Hindi/Punjabi
- Research aptitude and attention to detail
- Publication in neurological disorders (preferred)
