Project Associate-II – 1 Post
Job Details:
Project Title: Multiomics approach to decipher the mechanism involved in breast cancer development, progression and development of novel therapeutic strategies
Funding Agency: DST, New Delhi
Project Duration: 4 years
Emoluments:
- ₹35,000 + HRA for candidates qualified via:
- CSIR-UGC NET (including LS), GATE, National-level exams by Central Government departments (e.g., GPAT)
- ₹28,000 + HRA for others
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years (age relaxation as per Govt. of India norms)
Term of Engagement:
- Initial appointment for one year
- Extendable based on performance
- Purely temporary, co-terminus with project
- Not considered university service
- Eligible to register for PhD (as per CUP rules
Educational Requirements:
- M.Sc. with at least 55% marks in Life Sciences/ Zoology/ Animal Biology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Human Genetics/ Molecular Medicine/ Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Chemical Sciences from a UGC-recognized institute.
- Preference for CSIR-UGC-NET/ GATE/ NET-LS/ GPAT qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Theoretical and/or practical knowledge in molecular biology, cell culture biology, cancer biology, genetics, animal handling, drug and drug intermediate synthesis, and molecular modeling is desirable.
Skills Required:
- Research and development experience (2 years) in industrial, academic, or scientific institutions.
- Strong laboratory skills in biology or chemistry.
- Ability to execute scientific activities and services.
