Position Details:

- Project Title: Antimicrobial Leads from Actinomycetes against some Clinical Pathogens in BRT Wildlife Sanctuary, Western Ghats: Evaluation and Characterization (GAP-647)
- Project Duration: Initially 1 year (extendable up to 3 years based on performance & funds)
- Stipend & HRA:
- ₹31,000/- + HRA (16%) for candidates who have qualified for NET/GATE or any other national-level exams conducted by Central Govt. departments and their agencies and institutes.
- ₹25,000/- + HRA (16%) for others who do not fall under the above category.

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 25 December 2025
- Essential Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology
- Desirable Qualification: Isolation and identification of Actinomycetes, Production,
extraction and characterization of the metabolites, bioactivity, Experience in handling
human pathogens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data collection and experimental work
- Assisting in laboratory processing and analysis
- Supporting day-to-day project-related research activities
- Working on antimicrobial screening and characterization

- Maximum engagement across all CSIR projects: 6 years
- Candidates who have already completed 6 years in CSIR projects are not eligible
- Result-awaited candidates are not eligible
- No TA/DA will be provided for the interview.
