Job Overview
As a Clinical Data Associate III, you will lead data management activities for complex clinical trials. This Clinical Research Job requires high proficiency in Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems and the ability to mentor junior CDAs. You will be responsible for the lifecycle of trial data, from User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and database design to final database lock.
Key Responsibilities
- UAT & Design: Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for data entry screens and edit checks; review database design specifications and annotated CRFs.
- Data Cleaning: Perform discrepancy (edit check) reviews, resolve queries, and execute Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reconciliations.
- Vendor & Lab Management: Ensure data from external datasets (central labs, IRT, PK/PD) are consistent with the clinical database.
- Mentorship: Coordinate the work of other CDAs and provide project-specific training to ensure data integrity.
- Database Lock: Support the Closeout phase through casebook freezing, site closure, and preparing for the final DB Lock.
Qualifications & Skills
To qualify for this biological sciences job, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: BA/BS degree in Biological Sciences, Natural Science, or a Healthcare field.
- Experience Required: 3 to 5 years in Clinical Data Management.
- System Expertise: Proficiency in Oracle Clinical, Rave, or Inform systems is preferred.
- Technical Experience: Strong background in Conduct & Closeout phases, including query management and SAE reconciliation.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of ICH/Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and medical terminology.
