Key Responsibilities
1. System Configuration & Master Data
- Assist in setting up LabVantage modules like sample management, reporting, and system admin
- Maintain workflows, controlled vocabularies, test templates, and master data
- Configure user roles, job types, and access models
- Document configuration changes using version-control best practices
2. Technical Development & Support
- Provide Tier 2 support for basic LIMS issues
- Help develop simple scripts and business rules
- Support instrument integrations with ERP, ELN, QMS, MES, and analytics tools
- Assist in API/interface testing and validation
- Help with barcode label creation and reporting
3. Quality, Validation & Compliance
- Work under GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and ALCOA++ data integrity requirements
- Support IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities
- Participate in change controls, release processes, and documentation
4. Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
- Resolve incidents and service requests
- Support upgrades, patches, and regression testing
- Suggest small enhancements to improve workflows and efficiency
5. Collaboration & Learning
- Work with senior configurators, QC teams, and validation partners
- Participate in vendor interactions
- Develop skills in automation, scripting, integration, and SDK components
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology or related fields
- 3 plus years of experience with LIMS or related lab/IT systems (internships or academic work acceptable)
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with LabVantage LIMS
- Basic scripting knowledge (Java/Groovy/SQL)
- Exposure to REST/SOAP APIs
- Understanding of lab workflows and pharma compliance
- Knowledge of Azure concepts (preferred)
- Experience with JIRA, ALM, ServiceNow, Git, or Lucidchart
