Overview
GeneInsight is expanding our genomics division and looking for a passionate Bioinformatician to join our fast-growing team. If you love working with next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, designing pipelines, and solving real-world biological problems through computation—this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, optimize, and implement bioinformatics pipelines and workflows
• Analyze high-throughput NGS and clinical genomic datasets
• Perform QC, alignment, variant calling, assembly, and annotation
• Work with standard tools such as Ubuntu/Linux, Python, R, GATK, Samtools, BWA, etc.
• Manage, document, and execute workflows under defined SOPs
• Translate analytical findings into meaningful biological and clinical insights
• Collaborate with research, clinical, and data teams on genomics projects
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related fields
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in genomics or NGS data analysis
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, shell scripting, and Linux (Ubuntu)
• Experience with NGS QC, alignment, variant analysis, assembly, and downstream annotation
• Familiarity with clinical genomics workflows is an added advantage
