Project Overview:
The advertised positions are available under the following key projects:
- Action-III Trial: A multicenter study on antenatal corticosteroids to improve newborn outcomes.
- Neo-Sepsis Program: Exploring gastrointestinal microbiome in neonatal sepsis.
- INSACOG Wastewater Surveillance: Monitoring emerging pathogens and antimicrobial resistance using genomics.
- BRIC Bio Foundry: Promoting bio-manufacturing and high-quality bio-innovation leads.
- Pneumo Vaccine Development: Development of an investigational pneumococcal combination vaccine.
These projects offer exposure to advanced research in clinical data management, microbiology, genomics, vaccine development, and bio-manufacturing.

Technical Assistant – 01 Position
Emolument: ₹20,000 + HRA
Eligibility: B.Sc. in Life Sciences or a 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology.
Age Limit: Below 50 years.
Skills: Media and buffer preparation, microbial culture maintenance, and project documentation.
Lab Technician – 02 Positions
Emolument: ₹20,000 + HRA
Eligibility: B.Sc. in Life Sciences or 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology.
Age Limit: Below 50 years.
Skills: Sample collection, laboratory preparation, microbial culture handling, and record management.
Project Scientist-I – 01 Position
Emolument: ₹56,000 + HRA
Eligibility: Ph.D. in Life Sciences with practical experience in microbiological work.
Age Limit: Below 35 years.
Job Role: Involved in microbial characterization, genomic and proteomic analysis, and report preparation.
Project Scientist-II – 04 Positions
Emolument: ₹67,000 + HRA
Eligibility: Ph.D. in Life Sciences with 3 years’ experience in microbial research or fermentation technology.
Age Limit: Below 40 years.
Job Role: Conduct microbial isolation, optimize biomass production, evaluate bioactivity, and ensure long-term culture stability.
Selection Process:
- Applications will be screened for eligibility and relevance.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview or skill test.
- Final selection will be made by the THSTI Selection Committee.
