Educational Qualification:
M.Sc. in Microbiology
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and ensure cGMP/cGLP compliance in the microbiology laboratory.
- Perform allotted activities and maintain laboratory cleanliness and documentation.
- Conduct microbiological analysis of raw materials (API, excipients), packaging materials, finished products, and in-process samples.
- Operate VITEK 2 Compact for identification of isolates and master cultures.
- Prepare, document, and dispose of microbiological media with accurate stock maintenance.
- Subculture and maintain master cultures and in-house isolates.
- Observe and release culture plates and environmental monitoring samples.
- Verify test results for compliance with standards before data review.
- Follow analytical techniques during preparation of solutions (weighing, pipetting, filtration).
- Perform testing as per specified procedures and maintain concomitant entries in test data sheets.
- Identify potential testing issues that could affect accuracy.
- Ensure all operations in the microbiology lab are performed per written procedures.
- Conduct daily verification/calibration of instruments and document results.
- Perform disinfectant efficacy tests and maintain documentation.
- Ensure timely qualification, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Complete all assigned training relevant to the job role.
- Perform additional work as allocated by reporting authority.
Experience Required:
2–6 years of relevant industry experience
