Fellowship Overview – Summer Research Fellowship Program 2026
- Program Name: Science Academies Summer Research Fellowship Program for Students and Teachers — 2026 (SRFP 2026)
- Target Group: Motivated Students and Teachers studying/teaching in any College/University across India (affiliated to UGC/AICTE/MCI/Accredited Institutions/Private Universities).
- Duration: Two months, any time during the calendar year (summer months preferred).
- Support: Selected candidates will receive entitled round trip train fare and a monthly fellowship stipend to cover living expenses.
Key Eligibility Criteria For Summer Research Fellowship Program 2026
Students (Eligibility)
Applicants should be currently studying in their designated year of study (e.g., II year for BS/BSc, I year for MS/MSc, II or III years for BE/BTech, etc.).
- Eligible Courses: BS/BSc/BE/BTech, MS/MS/MTech, Integrated PhD (I, II years only), and other specific dual/integrated degrees (refer to the official notification for specific year requirements).
- Academic Requirement: Minimum 65% average marks in core subjects (excluding languages) from Class X up to the last examination completed.
- Ineligible: PhD students are not eligible.
Teachers (Eligibility)
- Teachers must be teaching in a College/University.
- The minimum percentage of average marks does not apply for teachers. This is a valuable research fellowship for educators.

Application Requirements & Process For Summer Research Fellowship Program 2026

- Required Documents (Upload):
- It is mandatory to upload the mark sheets from class X till the last examination. Please have the scanned versions of mark sheets (in JPEG format – the size of each mark sheet should not exceed 700 kb), before starting to fill out the application.
- A specific write-up (150–250 words) detailing the particular area and what the candidate aims to learn/achieve (not a general description).
- Teacher applicants must also upload any publications.
- Recommendation (Students): Students must provide the contact details of a present teacher. The Academy will contact the teacher directly for the recommendation letter.
- Important Note: Only one application per candidate will be considered.
