Project & Position Overview
- Position: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- Number of Posts: One (01)
- Project Title: Metabolic regulation of haematopoiesis in Drosophila larvae.
- Laboratory: Dr. Tina Mukherjee’s Lab
- Tenure: Contractual appointment for 11 months, renewable based on progress and the requirements of the Grant.
- Emoluments: ₹ 42,000/- per month + HRA

Core Job Description & Research Focus
The candidate is required to work on a project focused on haematopoiesis in Drosophila larvae. The role involves carrying out day-to-day lab research and requires substantial independent experience in specialized techniques:
- Model System: Substantial experience in handling Drosophila Genetics and wasp culturing.
- Molecular Protocols: Executing in-situ protocols such as FISH, and utilizing molecular biology approaches.
- Data Analysis: Experience in Bulk RNA sequencing analysis.
- Imaging & Flow: Hands-on experience in Confocal Microscopy and FACS (Flow Cytometry).
- Advanced Techniques (Preferred): Experience in targeted isotope labelling Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) and SABER FISH.
Essential Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications
- Education: M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Clinical Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences from a recognized university.

Essential Technical Expertise
- Proven expertise in using Drosophila as a model system (specifically haematopoiesis).
