• For Biological Sciences

    • Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.

    • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum 4-year) in Biotechnology or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Desirable:

• Experience
  • Four years of experience in Research & Development in Industry, an Academic Institution, or a Science & Technology Organisation.

Important Note:

• Time spent in obtaining the minimum essential degree is not counted as experience.
• Up to 2 years of PhD duration (post-award) may count as experience if certified by the University/Institute.
• No experience credit for incomplete PhDs.
• If employed during a PhD for over 2 years, only the employment period counts.

Age Limit

• Scientist-C: 35 years (as on closing date)
• Relaxation:
  • Govt. Servants: Up to 5 years
  • Others: As per Central Government norms
• Note: Eligibility and age will be determined based on the closing date.

Screening & Selection Process

• As per Central Government guidelines.
