Job Overview:
The R&D–Process Development (DSP) role focuses on downstream processing of plasma products, chromatography-based purification, UF/DF operations, pilot-scale batch execution, documentation management, and process model scale-up. The role requires strong technical understanding and hands-on experience in bioprocessing.
Educational Requirements:
- M.Sc./B.Tech./M.Tech. in Biotechnology or Life Sciences
- 3–8 years of experience in R&D, process development, or downstream processing
- Knowledge of plasma, biologics, and specialty pharmaceuticals
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute downstream processing for plasma products
- Handle chromatography, UF/DF, and protein purification workflows
- Execute pilot-scale batches for stability studies
- Prepare R&D documentation including BMR, TTD, and technical reports
- Maintain records of raw data from lab and pilot-scale experiments
- Calibrate and manage DSP equipment
- Implement new strategies for process improvement
- Scale-up downstream process models
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of downstream processing
- Experience with chromatography and protein purification
- Understanding of plasma/biologics
- Excellent documentation and data management skills
