Qualifications for JRF Vacancy:
- Four-year Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Life Sciences.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, C++, or MATLAB.
- Willingness to work with rodents (prior animal work not mandatory).
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct in vivo recordings of neuronal activity in the hippocampus and entorhinal cortex in rodents.
- Design and manufacture recording hardware and software for experiment control and data analysis.
- Perform implantation surgeries, neural recordings, behavioral experiments, and histological analysis.
- Analyze neural data from experiments involving the Traveling Salesperson Problem (TSP) task.
- Gain comprehensive training in neuroscience research techniques and instrumentation.
Tenure:
The appointment will be for one year, extendable based on project continuation and performance evaluation.
Compensation:
- ₹37,000/month + HRA for candidates with CSIR-UGC NET or GATE qualification.
- ₹30,000/month + HRA for others (4-year Bachelor’s degree or non-GATE/NET qualified).
- The position does not include additional benefits.
