JOB DETAILS:
Project 1
Title: Extraction and evaluation of small molecules from medicinal plants with therapeutic potential against theileriosis
PI: Dr. Anand Srivastava (Scientist-E)
Duration: Up to September 2026
Location: NIAB, Hyderabad
Fellowship:
- ₹35,000 + HRA (with NET/GATE or national-level exam)
- ₹28,000 + HRA (others)
Project 2
Title: Experimental validation of natural products from medicinal plants of North East regions as ectoparasiticides
PI: Dr. Anand Srivastava (Scientist-E)
Duration: 1 year (extendable)
Fellowship: ₹28,000 + HRA
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences / Agricultural Sciences / MVSc
OR - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine
AND - 2 years of experience in R&D in academic or industrial institutions, S&T organizations, or scientific services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidates are expected to have hands-on expertise in:
- Natural product chemistry
- Soxhlation techniques
- Isolation & purification of active plant molecules
- Characterization using HPTLC & HPLC
- Analytical instrumentation
- Natural compound evaluation for therapeutic and parasitic control studies
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong understanding of plant-based compound extraction
- Practical experience with analytical chemistry tools
- Ability to perform molecular characterization
- Research-oriented mindset
- Good documentation and data management skills
