Minimum Qualifications
- Essential: B.Sc. in any Biological Sciences, horticultural science or equivalent degree.
- Desirable:
- M.Sc. in Botany/Life Science/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/horticultural sciences with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Experience in the genetic transformation of Solanaceae plants like tomato or chilli crops, etc.
- Experience in the molecular cloning techniques used for gene editing technologies like CRISPR-Cas systems.
Candidates with hands-on experience in both agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation and CRISPR technology are crucial and highly desirable for advancing the advertised project.
Fellowship
Rs. 20,000/ + 8% HRA
Tenure: The position is temporary for a period of Six Months or the position is co-terminus with the project.

- Appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency particularly applicable to the said project.
- The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities/Institutions.
- Where the number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large, it will not be convenient or possible to interview all the candidates. Based on the recommendations of the Screening Committee, the Project Leader may restrict the number of candidates for the interview to a reasonable limit after taking into consideration the qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of applying.
