Qualification:
M.Sc. / Ph.D. in Plant Breeding & Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, or related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute genomic selection and marker-assisted breeding projects.
- Conduct molecular genetics research including haplotype analysis, gene TILLING, and QTL mapping.
- Analyze high-throughput sequencing and genotyping data using bioinformatics pipelines.
- Mentor junior researchers and promote collaboration across genomics and breeding teams.
- Drive project design, manage research deliverables, and contribute to publications and proposals.
- Translate molecular insights into actionable strategies to enhance breeding efficiency and product outcomes.
Experience Required:
3–5 years of relevant experience.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in molecular breeding, genomic prediction, and trait dissection.
- Proficiency in bioinformatics tools, data visualization, and statistical modeling (R, Python, SAS).
- Hands-on experience with GWAS, GBS, QTL mapping, and genotyping tools.
- Strong grounding in quantitative genetics and crop improvement.
- Excellent scientific communication, proposal writing, and leadership abilities.
- Collaborative mindset with innovative problem-solving capabilities.
