Project & Position Overview
- Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Number of Posts: Two (02)
- Tenure (Both Posts): 02 years (Dec 2025 – Dec 2027), on a purely temporary, contractual basis.
Emoluments
- Standard JRF: ₹ 21,000/- per month + admissible HRA
- JRF (NET/GATE Qualified): ₹ 31,000/- per month + admissible HRA
Project Details
The two JRFs will be recruited for the following distinct projects:
- Project 1 [SIT08016SNC]: “Cloning and expression of multifunctional recombinant fibroin silk proteins for non-textile applications.”
- Project 2 [SIT08018SNC]: “Construction and efficacy assessment of a BmNPV-derived Bacmid system for recombinant protein production in Bombyx mori silkworms.”
Essential Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- Education: M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Seri-Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Life Sciences.
- Marks: Minimum of 60% marks required (55% for SC/ST candidates).
Desirable Experience
- Experience in Molecular cloning will be strongly preferred.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 35 years as on 02.12.2025.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years applicable for SC/ST/OBC, Women, and Physically challenged candidates.
