Job Details:
- Project Title: Ultra-Sensitive CRISPR-SERS Platform for Detection, Fingerprinting, and Resistance Profiling of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Using PCA and Machine Learning
- Principal Investigator: Dr. Rahul Verma (PI), Dr. Kiran Shankar Hazra (Co-PI)
- Location: INST, Mohali, Punjab
- Duration: Initially one year, extendable based on performance and availability of funds
- Fellowship: ₹56,000 + HRA per month
- Mode of Interview: Online
Educational Requirements:
- Essential Qualification: First-class postgraduate degree, including integrated PG degrees in Biological Sciences.
- Desirable Qualification/Experience:
- Qualified in GATE/GPAT/CSIR-UGC-NET/lectureship or equivalent.
- Experience in Tuberculosis research, Raman Spectroscopy, Sensing, Device Fabrication, Drug Design, PCR handling.
- Experience in scientific writing with peer-reviewed publications is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cutting-edge biotechnology and life science research under the project.
- Develop and operate ultra-sensitive CRISPR-SERS detection platforms for Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
- Analyze data using PCA and machine learning tools.
- Prepare detailed scientific reports and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
Skills Required:
- Strong experimental and analytical skills in biotechnology research.
- Experience with nanotechnology, Raman spectroscopy, and device fabrication.
- Proficiency in PCR techniques and data analysis.
- Ability to document research findings accurately.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

General Terms and Conditions:
- The position is purely temporary and on a contractual basis and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years/till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
- The position is co-terminus with the project.
