Minimum Qualification & Experience

  • Essential: Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering/Biotechnology from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Desirable: Experience in mammalian cell culture, virus assays, protein expression and purification, molecular biology techniques.

Monthly Emoluments

  • INR 37,000/- + 9% HRA for Scholars selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE (OR) (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions
  • INR 30,000/- + 9% HRA for others

Age

Not more than 28 years on the date of the interview.

Tenure

The initial offer will be for six months and is renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

  • The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in the Funding Agency or in IISER Tirupati.
  • Appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency, particularly applicable to the said project.
  • The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities/Institutions.
  • The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum, and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for an interview.
  • No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
  • The number of posts indicated may increase or decrease as per the Institute requirement.
  • Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
  • No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication of any sort will be entertained.
  • Canvassing in any form and/or bringing any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
  • Candidates selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of IISER Tirupati, provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
