Job Details:
- Title of the project: To develop novel antiviral platforms and identify drugs against henipaviruses such as Nipah virus and Hendra virus.

- Monthly Emoluments:
- (i) INR 37,000/- + 9% HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE (OR) (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions
- (ii) 30,000/- + 9% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
Walk-in interview for the post of “Junior Research Fellow/ Project Associate – I” under an extramural-funded project.
Educational Requirements:
Essential:
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences
- OR Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences
- OR Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or Medicine
Desirable:
- Mammalian cell culture
- Virus assays
- Molecular biology techniques
- Protein expression & purification
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting virology and antiviral platform development studies
- Perform cell culture, virus assays, and molecular biology work
- Support the PI in experimental design and data recording
- Maintain lab equipment, documentation, and reporting
- Contribute to research progress and project deliverables
Skills Required:
- Mammalian cell culture
- Protein expression
- Protein purification
- Molecular biology methods
- Handling infectious samples (preferred)
