Job Overview:
The position is part of a DST (SEED Division) funded project focusing on bioremediation of parboiled rice-mill waste effluent and its reuse in sustainable hydroponics and local fisheries. The work will involve microbial consortia-based remediation and community-level engagement.
- Project Title: Bioremediation and recycling of parboiled rice-mill waste-effluent for sustainable hydroponics and indigenous fisheries by women
- Salary: ₹20,000 + 27% HRA per month
- Type: Temporary (initially 1 year, extendable based on performance)
- Age Limit: Not over 35 years as of 1 December 2025 (age relaxations as per Government norms)
Educational Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Natural Sciences or Agricultural Sciences
- OR MVSc
- OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine
- Experience in bioremediation is desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct bioremediation experiments using microbial consortia
- Assist in recycling treated waste effluent for hydroponics
- Support fisheries-related experimental setups
- Work closely with block-level community groups
- Assist in field-level and laboratory-level research tasks
Skills Required:
- Knowledge in bioremediation or environmental microbiology
- Ability to work in laboratory and field environments
