Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 01 Position
Job Details:
Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB-funded biotechnology project titled:
“Unraveling the Regulatory Mechanism of FNBP4-Mediated FMN1 Regulation and Actin Cytoskeleton Remodeling during Cell Migration.”
The project aims to decode complex molecular biology processes underlying cell migration, making this an ideal opportunity for passionate life science researchers.
- Principal Investigator: Dr. Sankar Maiti
- Fellowship: ₹37,000 + HRA @ 24% (per month, first & second year)
- Duration: Initially 1 year; extendable based on performance
Educational Requirements:
- M.Sc. or equivalent degree (minimum 60%) in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or Zoology.
- Preference for candidates qualified in NET-JRF, ICMR, BET, GATE, or NET-LS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and analyze molecular biology and cell biology experiments.
- Perform protein and actin purification, fluorophore labeling, reconstitution assays, and fluorescence spectroscopy.
- Carry out western blotting and mammalian cell culture work.
- Collaborate on biotechnology research projects focused on cell migration mechanisms.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in biochemical and molecular biology techniques.
- Strong experimental design and data analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a research team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
