About the Project:
The SERB-funded project focuses on “Unraveling the Regulatory Mechanism of FNBP4-Mediated FMN1 Regulation and Actin Cytoskeleton Remodeling during Cell Migration.” It aims to understand how FNBP4 controls FMN1 activity, influencing cell movement and cytoskeletal organization. Using advanced biochemical, molecular, and cell biology techniques, the project seeks to uncover the molecular dynamics behind cell migration, offering insights relevant to developmental biology and disease research.

Educational Requirements:
- Master’s degree with at least 60% marks in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or Zoology.
- Candidates with NET-JRF / ICMR / BET / GATE / NET-LS or equivalent qualifications will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct experiments related to protein and actin purification, fluorophore labeling, and cell-based assays.
- Perform fluorescence spectroscopy, western blotting, and mammalian cell culture.
- Analyze data and maintain laboratory documentation.
- Support ongoing life science research in the PI’s lab.
- Collaborate with fellow researchers and assist in scientific reporting.
Fellowship:
₹37,000/- + HRA @24% (for 1st and 2nd year)
