- Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification
- Master’s degree in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Microbial Biotechnology / allied subjects
- Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade
- Relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwD/Old Master’s degree holders (before 19 Sept 1991)
- Desirable Qualification
- Ph.D. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / allied fields
- Essential Qualification
- Eligibility as per UGC Regulations
- Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Cleared NET (UGC/CSIR) or SLET/SET, OR
- Hold a Ph.D. as per UGC norms
- Ph.D. holders (registered before 11 July 2009) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET if:
- Ph.D. awarded in regular mode
- Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners
- Open viva-voce conducted
- Two research papers published from Ph.D. work (one in a refereed journal)
- At least two conference/seminar presentations
Important Instructions
- The Guest Faculty must submit an undertaking that they will not draw any fellowship, stipend, or financial assistance during the tenure.
- Candidates currently availing JRF are not eligible for honorarium, but will receive experience certificates.
- NOC from the current employer is mandatory.
