Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Microbiology Technician to join our laboratory team. The technician will support microbiological testing, maintain lab quality, and ensure compliance with protocols.
Key Responsibilities

Perform microbiological tests on specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) using aseptic techniques
-
Hands-on experience with ELISA and COVID-19 testing protocols (RT-PCR/Antigen preferred)

Prepare and maintain reagents, media, and cultures for diagnostics and research
-
Conduct routine quality control to ensure test accuracy
-
Operate and maintain lab equipment: microscopes, centrifuges, incubators, analyzers
-
Record and report test results accurately following SOPs and QA protocols

Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper sample collection, handling, and transport
-
Maintain detailed logs: test results, equipment, inventory
-
Follow strict safety and hygiene protocols

Stay updated with microbiology trends and diagnostic technology

Assist in development and validation of new lab methods

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field
-
0–2 years of lab experience (clinical, food, or environmental microbiology)

Familiarity with microbiological techniques and instrumentation

Strong attention to detail and documentation
-
Willingness to work in rotational shifts
