About the Role:
USV Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Research Associate for the Mammalian Upstream R&D team. The role involves developing and optimizing CHO-based biosimilar processes, media/feed optimization, and upstream bioprocessing to support cutting-edge biologics research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize mammalian cell culture processes using CHO expression systems.
- Handle CHO-based cultures at shake flask, ambr15, and ambr250 scales.
- Operate 5L and 50L bioreactors (multiple-use and single-use systems).
- Conduct media/feed screening and process parameter optimization.
- Perform process characterization and troubleshooting.
- Maintain experimental documentation and prepare technical reports.
- Work under quality management systems (QMS) and ensure compliance.
- Present findings and updates to the project team.
Qualifications:
- M.Sc. or M.Tech in Biotechnology or related Life Sciences field.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in mammalian upstream R&D.
- Strong technical understanding of CHO-based cell culture, process development, and scale-up.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
