About the Role
As a Bioinformatician at ONEOMICS, you’ll work on high-throughput sequencing data, develop and optimize analysis pipelines, and collaborate on diverse genomics projects. This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen your bioinformatics expertise while contributing to real-world advancements in genomics and computational biology.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and interpret Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data, including DNA, RNA, and other omics datasets.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for genomic and transcriptomic analyses.
• Perform data preprocessing, quality control, and downstream analyses using standard bioinformatics tools and custom scripts.
• Retrieve and integrate data from public biological databases (e.g., NCBI, Ensembl, GEO).
• Collaborate closely with wet-lab scientists and research teams to translate experimental results into meaningful insights.
• Automate workflows and improve computational efficiency using scripting languages such as Python, R, or Perl.
• Prepare detailed reports, data visualizations, and presentations to communicate analytical results.
• Stay up to date with the latest
• Ensure data accuracy, reproducibility, and proper documentation of all analyses.
• Contribute to scientific publications, project reports, and proposals when applicable.
What We’re Looking For
• Minimum 1 year of experience in bioinformatics or computational biology.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, and/or Perl.
• Hands-on experience with NGS data analysis (DNA-Seq, RNA-Seq, etc.).
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, public databases, and standard bioinformatics tools.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about working with biological data.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
