Key Responsibilities
- Extract biological insights from multimodal omics and screening data
- Characterize disease endotypes, therapeutic mechanisms, and novel targets
- Develop platforms for therapeutic target prioritization
- Deliver foundational target insights including biodistribution and isoform analysis
- Build capabilities for identifying novel disease-enriched isoforms
- Collaborate with data science and information systems teams
- Integrate ARIA-developed tools into Amgen’s broader R&D platforms
Educational Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field OR
- Master’s degree with 3+ years relevant research experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong immunology background
- Expertise in single-cell oncology or inflammatory disease data
- Knowledge of RNA & protein isoform complexity
- Experience with long-read transcriptomics
- Familiarity with biomedical knowledge graphs & transcriptional foundation models
- Experience with public datasets: DepMap, Human Cell Atlas, TCGA, GTEx, Tahoe-100M
- Ability to develop RShiny apps, Nextflow pipelines, or agentic framework tools
Skills Required
- Strong programming skills (Python, R, Linux/Unix)
- Cloud computing & HPC familiarity
- Expertise in single-cell omics analysis
- Workflow development and computational tool deployment
- Knowledge of long-read transcriptomics
- Collaborative mindset & strong communication ability
- Experience with Git and coding best practices
- Ability to design and execute end-to-end computational research strategies
