About the Antibody team:

The antibody team is involved in engineering and development of antibodies, with a deep focus on reagent quality and specificity. The core activities of team include design, development, purification, conjugation and testing of antibodies in a variety of immunoassay applications using groundbreaking tools and technologies. The goal of the program is product development and creation of product specific information to promote research use.

Educational Requirements for the Scientist Job:

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Immunology with 0–3 years of experience.
  • OR a recent Ph.D. (submitted within the last year) in a relevant field.

Responsibilities of Scientist Job:

  • Conduct molecular biology experiments with precision and consistency to meet project milestones.
  • Maintain accurate data records, laboratory notes, and reports.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in antibody engineering and molecular biology.
  • Present experimental data in written and oral formats to peers and leadership.
  • Ensure attention to detail, adherence to schedules, and compliance with laboratory safety standards.

Skills Required for the Scientist Job:

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in nucleic acid extraction, PCR, cloning, and RNA handling.
  • Knowledge of bioinformatics tools (BLAST, multiple sequence alignment, codon optimization).
  • Familiarity with molecular biology software such as SnapGene, Geneious, or CLC Workbench.
  • Hands-on experience with protein purification, ELISA, Western blotting, and cell culture.
  • Exposure to single-cell workflows, NGS, and antibody display technologies is desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and statistical tools such as GraphPad Prism.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.

Environmental Conditions:

Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, Laboratory Setting, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials.
