About the Role
PepsiCo is hiring a Supplier Quality Assurance Scientist for a quality assurance job at PepsiCo in Hyderabad. This role is a key part of PepsiCo’s commitment to product safety and quality across its AMESA region. You will work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and compliance groups to uphold the highest standards in food safety, supplier approvals, and ingredient compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct annual re-approvals of low-risk supplier sites, including reviewing certifications, audit reports, HACCP plans, and safety documentation.
- Maintain and update supplier data in the Trackwise database to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve documentation gaps.
- Prepare dashboards and quarterly reports to track supplier performance.
- Support ancillary QA programs such as food fraud prevention, contaminants data collection, and pathogen-sensitive ingredient programs.
- Assist with audit preparations by ensuring the completeness of documentation and supplier compliance evidence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Regulatory Affairs, or technical roles within the food/FMCG sector.
- Lead Auditor training (required or to be completed post joining).
- Strong understanding of food safety, microbiology, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and database tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across global teams.
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
