About the Project
The selected Project Associate will be part of a national initiative to develop eco-friendly biotechnological solutions for equine dung management through anaerobic biomethanation. This project aligns with CSIR–NEERI’s mission to drive sustainable technology innovations for environmental conservation.
Position Details
- Position: Project Associate (PAT-I)
- Number of Posts: 01 (Anticipated Vacancy)
- Project Title: “Demonstration of Equine Dung Management through Biomethanation in a Pilot-Scale Anaerobic Baffled Reactor (GAP-3019)”
- Place of Posting: CSIR–NEERI, Nagpur
- Essential Qualification
- M.Sc. in Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognized university.
- Candidates with CSIR-UGC NET, ICAR/ICMR, GATE, or equivalent national eligibility qualifications will be preferred.
- Desirable Skills & Job Requirements
- Extensive Fieldwork
- Sampling
- Bacteriological & chemical analysis
- Laboratory work, Data Collection, Data entry, Data analysis, and Preparation of Project Report
- Age Limit: Upper Age Limit – 35 years (as per rules).
- Emoluments:
- ₹31,000 + HRA (for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET lectureship / Assistant professorship or GATE, or those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST, or equivalent, and/or their Agencies /Institutions).
- ₹25,000 + HRA (for others).
Selection Process
Selection will be made through a Walk-in Interview at CSIR–NEERI, Nagpur. Candidates must bring:
- One passport-size photograph.
- Original and one set of self-attested copies of mark sheets (10th, 12th, Graduate, Postgraduate), Aadhaar card, and certificates.
- Duly filled application form (available at www.neeri.res.in).
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
Important Instructions
- The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- Result-awaited candidates are not eligible.
- The engagement period may be extended or curtailed depending on project duration and performance.
- CSIR–NEERI reserves the right to withdraw or modify the recruitment process without notice.
- Age relaxation will be applicable as per the Government of India norms.
