The unit aims to prevent misappropriation of Indian traditional knowledge through intellectual property rights.
Job Opportunity: Project Associate-II (Agriculture)
CSIR-TKDL Unit invites applications for the position of Project Associate-II (Agriculture) for the project “Digitization of Traditional Agricultural Practices of India” (HCP522401).
Project Associate Job Details:
- Post Code: TKA01
- Qualification: Master’s/Integrated Master’s Degree in Agriculture/Agronomy/Horticulture/Animal Science/Veterinary Sciences/Zoology with 2 years of R&D experience.
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for qualified candidates.

- Original certificates must be presented at the time of the test/interview.
Eligibility Criteria for the Project Associate Job:
- Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Animal Science, Zoology, or Veterinary Sciences from a recognized university.
- Minimum 2 years of research experience in industrial, academic, or scientific organizations.
- Age limit: 35 years (relaxable for reserved categories as per CSIR/Govt. of India rules).
Responsibilities for the Project Associate Job:
- Digitize traditional agricultural knowledge from ancient texts.
- Assist in research, data management, and documentation.
- Support project monitoring and reporting to the Review Committee.
- Participate in hybrid-mode interviews and project review meetings.
Skills Required for the Project Associate Job:
- Strong domain expertise in agriculture or allied fields.
- Research, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with digitization processes and project management.
Monthly Stipend and Benefits:
- Rs. 35,000/+ HRA for NET/GATE qualified candidates or those with equivalent national-level qualifications.
- Rs. 28,000/+ HRA for other eligible candidates.
- House Rent Allowance as per Government of India rules applicable to CSIR employees.
