NISER Winter Internship Programme 2025 In the School of Biological Sciences!

Notice for inviting applications for Winter Internship at School of Biological Sciences (SBS)
School of Biological Sciences (SBS) of NISER offers a vibrant winter internship programme in which participants take up various state-of-art research projects under supervision of our faculties. Winter internship 01st December, 2025 to 31st January, 2026 (Short Term internship within two-month window) & 1st January, 2026 to 30th June, 2026 (Long Term internship within six-month window). Apart from regular project work, participants also get an opportunity to participate in various activities organized by SBS, such as seminars on current research work in various fields, visit to different research laboratories of NISER. Interested students from all over India are encouraged to apply for the program.
Who can apply: Students pursuing B.Sc / MSc / Integrated MSc degree with Biology as a major subject.
How to apply:
Interested students first need to contact the School of Biological Sciences, NISER faculties under whom they wish to do their winter internship, through email only. If the faculty agrees to supervise him/her, then only the candidate should apply for the programme. Use the
following link to know details about the research area and the contact details of faculties of SBS: https://www.niser.ac.in/people/fac. The application form should be complete in all respect and countersigned by their respective Head of the Department/Institution. Email consent obtained from the faculty supervisor & No Objection Certificate (NOC on Institute Letter Head) should also be attached with the application form. Hard copies of duly filled in application, certificates, mark sheets, email communications, No Objection Certificate etc. should be submitted to SBS office on or before 14th November, 2025. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.Application form to apply is attached at page no 3 to 4 & NOC at page no 5 of this notification.
For long term project students from the private institute need to pay the project fee of Rs.10,000.00 at the time of their admission. Contact to the SBS office for any further queries regarding fee payment.
Accommodation: Accommodation facility is limited, subject to availability. It will be chargeable (Rs.30/- per day) with a refundable caution money deposit of Rs.2000/-. Contact to the SBS office for any further queries.
Shortlisted candidates list will be uploaded in the School of Biological Sciences website (https://www.niser.ac.in/sbs/). Decision of the institute will be final and binding on all candidates regarding this programme and no correspondences will be entertained in this regard.
