Qualifications for Molecular Biology Jobs at Delhi:
- Molecular Biologist: Experience in qPCR, RT-PCR, CRISPR assays, primer and probe design, molecular beacons.
- Microbiologist: Experience handling class 3 pathogens.
- Biochemist: Proficiency in enzymology, enzyme kinetics (GOD, POD), biosensor reagent optimization.
- Team-oriented mindset for collaboration within a 3–4 member interdisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in data plotting and signal refinement using OriginLab.
Job Description:
IIT Delhi is hiring for the following positions under Molecular Biology Jobs at Delhi:
- Molecular Biologist: 2 posts
- Microbiologist: 2 posts
- Biochemist: 1 post
These roles involve conducting experiments in molecular biology, PCR, CRISPR assays, pathogen culture, enzymology, biosensor reagent optimization, and IVD assay development. Candidates will also contribute to translating assays into microfluidic or paper-based diagnostic devices as part of IIT Delhi Careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct qPCR, RT-PCR, and CRISPR-Cas12/13 based assays.
- Handle class 3 pathogens (Microbiologist role).
- Optimize enzymology and biosensor reagents (Biochemist role).
- Design primers, probes, and molecular beacons.
- Maintain pure cultures and glycerol stocks.
- Participate in clinical validation projects.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to develop diagnostic products.
- Contribute to patents, publications, and technology transfers within IIT Delhi Careers.
