Role Summary/Purpose:
Position is responsible for the Quality Control Program. Team Leader microbiology will work in the microbiology lab & will ensure Input material, water, environmental air, WIP & Finished goods are sampled, tested & approved timely and in compliance to CP Standards/guidelines & applicable local regulatory requirements.
Educational Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Microbiology (mandatory).
- Prior experience in a regulated laboratory environment is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of microbiological testing and identification methods.
- Proficiency in media preparation and growth promotion testing for media.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Team Team leader – Microbiology at Colgate-Palmolive, you have to follow written lab procedures (QMICs) and adhere to testing frequencies.
- Conduct microbiological analysis of raw materials and finished goods.
- Perform sampling and testing of water, compressed air, and plant environments.
- Monitor critical control points in water systems and sorbitol distribution.
- Calibrate, qualify (IQ, OQ, PQ), and validate laboratory equipment.
- Validate microbiological testing procedures and process changes.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and notebooks.
- Investigate microbiological failures and report findings.
- Support initiatives for improving microbiological control programs.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, housekeeping, and sanitation standards.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper waste disposal practices.
