Wet Lab Technician / Research Associate

Role Description:
Decode Age is seeking a motivated Wet Lab Technician / Research Associate to support our ongoing R&D and molecular biology projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in wet lab techniques and a strong commitment to scientific excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform molecular biology assays, including:
o Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assays (ELISA)
o DNA/RNA extraction, quantification, and quality assessment
o PCR and qPCR workflows
o Protein analysis techniques (e.g., Western blotting, SDS-PAGE)
• Prepare, handle, and process biological samples under standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain accurate experimental records, data entry, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with biosafety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Assist in development and optimisation of experimental protocols.
• Collaborate with senior scientists for troubleshooting and data interpretation.
• Manage lab inventory, reagents, consumables, and equipment calibration.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences field.
• 6 months–3 years of hands-on experience in a molecular biology or wet lab (academic or industrial).
• Fresh postgraduates with strong laboratory exposure are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated experience with ELISA and nucleic acid handling preferred.
• Familiarity with sample preparation from diverse biological matrices.
• Strong documentation, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Attributes:
• Experience working under ISO, NABL, or GLP standards.
• Prior experience handling human biological samples.
• Problem-solving mindset with eagerness to learn and optimise workflows.
