Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field

- Ability to proactively identify complex problems and needs and develop solutions/recommendations to solve problems
Key Responsibilities for the Clinical Rave Programmer Role:
- Design or modify database structures to solve processing problems considering system capacity and performance
- Perform database analysis and design tasks for production databases
- Ensure databases meet operational standards for reliability, response time, and query execution
- Participate in database consultations and design reviews
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Perform database administration, monitoring, tuning, and support in production environments
- Activities include denormalization, data archival schemes, sizing, creation of database objects, referential integrity enforcement, and application optimization
Skills Required:
- Rave programming experience (custom functions preferred)
- Strong understanding of database design, administration, and optimization
- Ability to proactively identify complex problems and develop solutions
- Knowledge of backup, recovery, and security enforcement for databases
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
