Position Details
Post: Project Associate

Project Title: Asian Bipolar Genetics Network (A-BIG-NET)
Funding Agency: National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)
Principal Investigator: Dr. Biju Viswanath, Additional Professor of Psychiatry
Essential Qualification:
Master’s degree in Life Sciences with a minimum of 2 years of research experience.
For Post 1:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in cell culture techniques (preference for stem cell experience).
For Post 2:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in phlebotomy and handling human bio-specimens.
- Proficiency in DNA/RNA extraction using standard methods.
- Experience in multicentre research projects, sample processing, and biobanking is preferred.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years
Salary: ₹42,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Duration: 6 months – the contractual extension is contingent on the performance of the candidate (up to the end of the project period i.e., 31 July 2027)
