About the Project:
The ICMR Improving Glycemic Control Project focuses on improving diabetes care and management for patients in primary care settings. Qualifications:
Essential:
- BSc Nursing / Life Sciences
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and referencing software
- Excellent communication in English and Kannada
Experience:
Minimum 1 year preferred (Freshers may apply)
Desirable:
- Experience in health research, in-depth interviews, or FGDs
- Exposure to non-communicable disease research, national health programmes, primary healthcare, or public health projects
Job Description:
This Project Technician role is ideal for candidates seeking hands-on experience in healthcare and research within the field of life sciences. As part of the ICMR Improving Glycemic Control Project, you will assist in coordinating field activities, data management, and supporting clinical research operations to improve diabetes care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project activities, manage data collection, and conduct qualitative interviews.
- Develop and translate IEC materials for community health awareness.
- Recruit patients, ensure follow-up, and maintain communication with participants.
- Network with local communities, health officials, and stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, update the investigative team, and follow project SOPs and checklists.
- Ensure quality control of data collected from community and health facilities.
- Support evaluation of healthcare personnel competencies and assist in community-level data collection.
- Undertake additional research or administrative tasks as directed by the Principal Investigator or Co-Investigators.
