About the Opportunity
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is offering a prestigious opportunity for life sciences professionals through its IISER Pune Project Associate jobs. This role involves research in Bioinformatics-guided enzyme engineering to modulate lower ligand activation and attachment for the production of cobalamin and other cobamide vitamins
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct computational and experimental research in enzyme sequence-structure-function analysis.
- Perform literature reviews, data analysis, and bioinformatics tasks relevant to enzyme biochemistry.
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to experimental designs and project documentation.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology (with Chemistry/Biochemistry background).
- Preference for candidates with research experience in biological chemistry, protein biochemistry, and bioinformatics.
Tenure and Compensation
- Initial tenure: 6 months (extendable).
- Monthly emoluments: ₹25,000 + 24% HRA or ₹31,000 + 30% HRA with qualifying national-level test scores (CSIR-NET, GATE, DBT-JRF).
