Job Description
The selected JRF under the IISER Bhopal recruitment 2025 will work towards achieving the project objectives in a BSL-2 laboratory setup. Responsibilities include conducting experiments, maintaining accurate research records, analyzing data, and reporting to the Principal Investigator. Position Details
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – One Post
- Project Title: “Feathered Bioreactors: Leveraging CRISPR Technology to Produce Human Monoclonal Antibodies in Chimeric Chicken Eggs”
- Qualifications:
- Essential Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Life Science, Biological Science, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate degree in professional healthcare, biotechnology, or equivalent field from a recognized university/institute.
- Desirable Qualifications:
- Candidates should have qualified CSIR/UGC NET, GATE, or a national-level examination conducted by institutes such as DST, DBT, DAE, DRDO, ICMR, ICAR, IIT, IISc, or IISER.
- Knowledge of molecular virology techniques (molecular cloning, viral assays, serology).
- Experience in mammalian cell culture, Western blot, and RT-PCR.
- Salary:
- ₹37,000 + HRA (18%) per month for candidates with national-level eligibility qualifications.
- ₹25,000 + HRA (as applicable) per month for candidates without NET/GATE or national-level qualification.
- Tenure of Appointment: Initially for one year, extendable up to one additional year based on performance and fund availability.
- Age Limit: Should not exceed 35 years as on December 1, 2023. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.
