Dr. Shivaji Kashinath Jadhav- Dharwad:
Dr. Shivaji Kashinath Jadhav, an eminent molecular virologist & biotechnology innovator from Dharwad, has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology (FRSB), United Kingdom- the highest membership level awarded by the Society. This prestigious fellowship recognizes scientists of international standing who have made outstanding contributions to biological sciences through research, teaching, and societal applications.
Pioneering Research with Global Impact:
Dr. Jadhav’s research spans cancer biology, HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, COVID-19, and infectious disease diagnostics. Some of his work has advanced translational research, vaccine development and affordable diagnostic solutions for low-resource settings.
He has successfully bridged the gap between fundamental science and healthcare delivery, impacting public health and biotechnology innovation worldwide for more than two decades.

He pursued his education at Vidyaranya High School, Dharwad followed by a degree in microbiology and specialized in Biotechnology from Karnatak College, Dharwad and went to complete his Ph.D at the National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (NIRRH), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Mumbai. Further to advance his academic journey he undertook postdoctoral training as an Ex-Fogarty Fellow at Harvard/Boston Medical School, USA.
